OPEN CALL / group exhibition / contemporary jewellery
Graz / September 2026 / Applications until July 26 th, 12pm CET

TITLE

PRIORITIES

THEME
What (doesn’t) matter – what truly matters to us, and what do we only claim matters?
In a world that constantly demands decisions, wants everything at once, yet rarely
allows for real depth, “priority” has become a form of currency. But who decides
what takes precedence — and at what cost? We confront the uncomfortable question:
which values truly guide our actions, and which merely distract us?
This exhibition does not seek to reassure. It challenges. It questions what we have
accepted as self-evident for far too long and invites us to rethink our own priorities —
perhaps even to redefine them.
What becomes clear is this: priorities in jewellery art are never purely aesthetic. They
speak of identity, belonging, sustainability, and of what artists and wearers perceive
as essential.
